Eaton-Williams cooling system can reduce wastage for florists

Making blooms last longer is every florists nightmare but Eaton-Williams display of cooling systems at Tatton Park 2004 can offer a solution that will maintain florist stock in peak condition and which can also be used to prolong the storage life of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Qualitair products reduce wastage for floristsThe growth in demand for fresh flowers, floral displays and tributes continues to increase fuelled by the nation’s interest in horticulture and desire for new ideas and unusual blooms. As a result retailers and wholesalers are under pressure to ensure that displays are stored and presented in carefully controlled environments to maximise their life and saleability. Dead flowers means money lost!

Eaton-Williams equipment will be exhibited on Stand 11B by 4 Seasons Ltd, specialists in providing air conditioning solutions.

This is the first time that Eaton-Williams products will be displayed at the RHS’ Flower Show at Tatton Park (July 21-25) and the company is expecting considerable interest in its Invicta Cooler (ICC) and condensing unit (ICU) along with its popular Qualitair Low Temperature Ceiling Cassette (QLC) which delivers a unique combination of air conditioning and lower temperature control in a stylish split system.

The ICC and ICU are stand alone units which can be ceiling or wall mounted and the QLC delivers reliable cooling in the form of a ceiling cassette designed around the standard ceiling matrix with a low profile fascia to ensure continuity of interior design.

The QLC is a dual-purpose ceiling cassette that provides both air conditioning and variable temperature control.

It maintains a comfortable working environment whilst ensuring that flowers are displayed, stored and prepared in temperature controlled condition. It also helps preserve dried flowers which are susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity as it maintains room temperatures between 8°C - 21°C depending on the set point chosen.

“The QLC offers total climate control across a broad spectrum of temperatures, giving florists the ability to display flowers for longer and reduce wastage,” says Peter Dewdney Group Marketing Manager.

The ICC units provide pre-set temperatures, variable in the range 8°C-23°C with an electro-mechanical controller or 4°C-23°C with an electronic controller.

Eaton-Williams is a leading manufacturer in air conditioning and humidity control products and can provide a wide range of cooling solutions to meet customers’ individual requirements.
