Vapac's LR humidifier offers solution for variable water quality

Introducing moisture into the air should be a simple process but water quality is a major consideration when it comes to humidification. Vapac's LR (resistance) range of humidifiers provides a solution for those areas where naturally soft water is prevalent or where the water is of such a high level of hardness that Base Exchange softened water can be used to advantage, whilst providing closer operational control.

Soft water is typically found in the West Country, Wales and Birmingham, parts of Manchester, Yorkshire and Scotland. Humidification in these areas may be best suited to resistance heaters that use electric heating elements to quickly bring the water to boiling point and deliver continuous 100% pure steam.

The LR units combine the high level technology of electrode boiler units with resistance heater elements mounted in a long life stainless steel cylinder for durability. The additional polypropylene lining enables the LR to be used for thousands of hours of operation. When used with Base Exchange softened water, most scale precipitation is ‘soft’ and can be removed by flushing and wiping down the unit as part of a low maintenance programme.

Seven models are available, the smallest offers a maximum of 5Kg/hr steam output with the top end of the range offers 60Kg/hr steam output. Units can be networked to form a master/slave system up to a maximum of 300Kg/hr and the LR operates using Vapac's patented VapaNet management system which is LON compatible.

Vapac is the UK's leading designer and manufacturer of humidifiers. Based in Kent and part of the Eaton-Williams group of companies. Wherever there is a need for moisture to be introduced into the environment, Vapac can provide a solution from air conditioning applications in commercial buildings to manufacturing processes to protecting artefacts and paintings in museums, galleries and mission critical applications in hospitals and data centres.
