EWS renews air con at theme park
EWS has replaced aged air conditioning units and is supplying HVAC service and maintenance to Drayton Manor Park, the midlands based theme park and home to Thomas Land™.
Based in Tamworth, Staffordshire, Drayton Manor Park offers visitors some of the biggest, wettest and scariest rides, a 15-acre zoo and corporate entertainment and conference facilities.
Corporate entertainment is a key part of the business at Drayton Manor Park and providing a comfortable environment whether it is for a wedding, funeral or business event is paramount in the park’s suites.
The units servicing the Hamilton Suite were aged and irreparable. Located in a confined area with restricted access, EWS was asked to address the space constraints, whilst providing a cost-effective comfort cooling solution that didn’t interfere with the suite’s booking schedules. The existing duct work was also to be retained.
Two new AHUs meeting the park’s criteria were specified and their replacements were scheduled to coincide with refurbishment of the suite.
Drayton Manor Park also took advantage of an HVAC maintenance and service contract with EWS to maximise the plant’s effectiveness and longevity.
So successful was the project that EWS has since replaced further units in the park’s Tower Suite.
