Qualitair’s energy efficient cellar cooler wins ECA approval
Qualitair’s cellar coolers already offer an hygienic system that speeds up the chilling cycle of bottled drinks. Now the range has just got better with the addition of the ECA approved Invicta Cellar Cooler (ICC) and condensing unit (ICUS) that offer the same unrivalled performance with the added benefit of increased energy efficiency that meets the government’s own criteria for managing climate change and reducing carbon emissions.
“By offering an ECA approved unit we are helping the pub trade to reduce carbon emissions and benefit from tax relief which can be a deciding factor when replacing kit,” explains Ron Pamplin, Qualitair’s National Sales Manager.
Both the ICC and ICUS units are listed on the Energy Technology Products List which confirms they are energy efficient and more environmentally friendly but are also eligible for the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme that enables businesses to benefit from 100% tax relief. The scheme enables businesses to claim 100% first-year capital allowance on investments in energy-saving equipment, against the taxable profits of the period of investment. All businesses that incur qualifying spending can claim ECAs which bring forward the time that capital allowances are available for spending on plant and machinery thereby providing a cash flow advantage. Manufactured in the UK, Qualitair’s ICC cellar cooler uses the latest design technology and innovative control, combining flexible temperature control with the added value of increased energy savings and quieter operation. The range is popular with many leading retailers as well as the major brewers and microbreweries.
With cellar and bar staff constantly under pressure to satisfy customers’ tastes for perfectly chilled bottled beers, wines and mixers, running low on stock could result in lost business which no publican can afford in the current climate. Back bar cooling cabinets often lack the capacity and can’t chill bottles quick enough but Qualitair’s ECA approved units offer a robust and reliable cellar cooling system that delivers the right temperatures consistently.
There are four ECA approved models offering operating temperatures between 5-23°C which is ideal for general keg, real ale storage areas and bottle cooling.
The ICC is manufactured from high-grade stainless steel unit that can be easily cleaned to address hygiene issues and can withstand knocks and scrapes that can and do occur within the confines of a heavily used cellar.
