Edenaire partners Jersey Telecom upgrade
Edenaire has been selected as the preferred supplier of air conditioning systems for all of Jersey Telecom’s operational buildings, that includes the provision of cooling systems for the planned upgrade to its Next Generation Network (NGN) systems. Edenaire has an established relationship with Jersey Telecom spanning some 25 years. This has included the on-going supply of close control units for the island’s telephone exchanges, with additional BTX units supplied when System X digital exchanges were introduced island-wide.
An essential part of the infrastructure is the environment in which systems operate and environmental control is paramount to their operation. Cost, reliability and energy efficiency were key factors when selecting Edenaire as a sole supplier to its needs.
Edenaire designed and supplied a mix of specialist units based on the BTX, CTXe, fresh air units and the recently launched IPAC (Invicta Precision Air Control) units. designed as a packaged unit for telecommunications environments offering cooling duties from 4kW up to 20kW in three cabinet sizes. By using high efficiency scroll compressors, low noise sickle blade condenser fans and the benefit of up to 80% fresh air free cooling the CTXe also offers significant energy savings.
“Reliability is a crucial factor for Jersey Telecom because of its position as a key player in global financial markets” comments Rob Jones, Edenaire’s Divisional Manager – Telecom Cooling Solutions (Europe). “The company also had to address the requirements of its local users.”
The construction of the NGN systems reflects Jersey Telecom’s commitment to providing its customers with the very best in communication services. Edenaire is proud to be associated with the project.
